Following lengthy talks, the Labour Party agreed to the document on July 6th 2007, whilst Plaid Cymru’s membership approved it on July the 7th. Plaid Leader Ieuan Wyn Jones was made deputy to First Minister Rhodri Morgan, with 3 other Plaid AM’s joining the cabinet.
Key pledges in the document included grants for first time house buyers and moves towards a full Welsh Parliament. “One Wales” also included a promise to end private sector involvement in the Welsh NHS and more support for pensioners and students.
